Momentum opens new office in Frankfurt/Main with transaction specialist Philipp Weber as equity partner
M&A and Venture Capital specialist Philipp Weber will join the firm as Equity Partner, effective July 1, 2023. He will establish Momentum’s new Frankfurt/Main office with his team.
With a long-standing career in corporate law, Weber’s expertise lies in domestic and international M&A, venture capital and private equity transactions. His past experience includes working for leading international law firms and the legal department (corporate and banking supervisory law) of Commerzbank AG. Most recently, Weber has established a prominent and highly respected Venture Capital and Tech M&A practice in Frankfurt/Main for a mid-sized corporate law firm.
With more than 25 Venture Capital and Tech-M&A transactions per year for national and international investors, corporates and growth start-ups, Weber and his team bring an impressive track record to Momentum. His portfolio of work includes transactions for notable corporates and investors such as main incubator/neosfer (Commerzbank Group), Augmentum FinTech, Berlin Hyp AG as well as growth companies like Wingcopter (drones), Enviria (solar) and Bloomwell (medical cannabis). His team also handles dedicated special topics such as venture debt or media for equity.
Weber’s achievements and expertise have been recognized by leading German publications in the field of corporate law, M&A, and venture capital. Further, Weber is highly connected in the German and local innovation and venture capital eco-system.
His addition to the team aligns with Momentum’s growth strategy and commitment to offering industry-leading insights and services.
