Momentum advises „Miss Sophie“ founder Sophie Kühn on the acquisition by Wilde Group
Momentum has advised founder Sophie Kühn on the acquisition of her beauty startup Miss Sophie GmbH (“Miss Sophie“) by WildeGroup (“Wilde Group“).
The company Miss Sophie sells vegan and animal-free nail foils, as well as accessories and care products, both via its own online store and via platforms such as Douglas, Flaconi, QVC, Westwing and Amazon to almost one million customers. Since Miss Sophie’s founding in 2014, Sophie Kühn has scaled the company to an eight-digit turnover without external investors, making Miss Sophie the number one company in Germany with the strongest online growth in the beauty sector (Digital 100 by similarweb).
With 140 employees and sales of EUR 30 million, Wilde Group has been active in the cosmetics industry for over 30 years – with the brands LCN and alessandro also in the nail sector – and specializes in high-quality beauty products, services and training.
Through the partnership with Wilde Group, its long experience in beauty and the group’s operational resources, Miss Sophie will continue to expand, enter new markets, grow its B2B business and work on expanding its product range.
Momentum advised Sophie Kühn with the following team:
Dr. Philipp Gold (Partner, M&A/Corporate/Tax)
Dr. Daniel Wied (Partner, M&A/Corporate)
Sarah Kaspar (Associate, M&A/Corporate)
