Momentum advises autarkize on successful EUR 2.3 million seed financing for innovative pyrolysis technology
Munich, November 2024: The transaction-focused law firm Momentum provided comprehensive legal advice to the environmental technology start-up autarkize in its successful EUR 2.3 million seed financing round. The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), with additional investors including Dutch impact investor Fair Capital Impact Fund, Interface Capital, Innovation for Impact, and Floris Capital.
The technology developed by autarkize converts biogenic residues, such as wood waste, peelings, and fermentation residues, into renewable gas and certified biochar. The gas produced can replace fossil fuels in industrial processes, while the biochar serves as CO2 storage and is additionally applicable in agriculture and construction. With the fresh capital, autarkize plans to further drive its expansion, particularly in the areas of biogas facilities as well as heat and steam generation, aiming to decarbonize industrial processes, create large-scale CO2 sinks, and make a positive contribution to global climate protection.
Momentum’s team advised autarkize on all legal aspects of the transaction, particularly in drafting and negotiating the investment and shareholders’ agreements.
